The boy turned left and continued. He heard distressed sounds behind him. A crowd was forming. People were pounding on the front and right walls, their fear rising. He stood in the black hallway and looked at the grown ups illuminated by lighting designed to hide the path he had found. They started to panic and scream as the pressure to move forward grew behind them. To move forward was not possible. To move to the right was not possible. What kept them from turning left? The darkness? Something else? Next
